Domestic Violence Resources

If you are currently in immediate or imminent danger due to domestic violence, call 911.

If you, or someone you know, is a victim of domestic violence, we want you to know there are resources and options.  Regardless of law enforcement involvement, these resources are available to help you out of the difficult situation you're in.  Though it may not feel like it, there is always hope!

Please note: the Batesville Police Department cannot contact these services on your behalf.


Local Resources (Independence Co.)

Family Violence Prevention

Located at 159 W Main St., Batesville, AR, the FPV office has several services available to assist you including victims advocates, male and female shelters, filing for Orders of Protection with the circuit court, and more.  They are prepared to support Spanish speaking populations, as well.

Children's Advocacy Center

Located at 510 E Boswell St Batesville, AR, provides services free of charge to children and their families in cases of child abuse.  These services include victim advocacy, forensic interview, medical exams and therapy.

ACADV serves as the state level organization providing multiple services such as a shelter listing, training for the loved ones of survivors/victims, links, and numerous other resources.

AR Attorney General Office

The Arkansas Attorney General office maintains a website and produces Laura's Card that serves as a discreet handout for domestic violence victims and survivors.  While officers carry and hand out Laura's Cards upon request or contact with a suspected victim, a copy is available online through the AR AG's webpage.  There is information and other resources including hotlines, shelters and guidance on state law.
