Instructions

This form is intended as a means for members of the public, who wish to be named, to file a complaint against an officer and receive communication regarding the matter.  If you wish to file a complaint against more than one officer, please submit a form for each individual separately.  For those wishing to remain anonymous, you may call the office during regular business hours; however, anonymous complainants will not be interviewed, be able to provide further information or be advised of the outcome of the internal affairs investigation.  Providing detailed, accurate information will ensure the investigation is conducted in a timely manner.

Security and Confidentiality

This webform will be submitted and stored with encryption in order to protect yours and others' personally identifiable information (PII).  The officer and witnesses will be interviewed as part of an internal affairs investigation.  Should your complaint reveal criminal conduct, it may be used as documentation or evidence in court, and you may be summoned to testify as a victim or witness.  Otherwise, information will be subject to release pursuant to Arkansas state law and Batesville Police Department policy as explained on our FOIA Request page.
