New Roundabout Information

Soon, the ARDOT project to construct a new roundabout at the intersection of 20th Street, Myers Street. and Pioneer Drive will open to traffic. Roundabouts, sometimes referred to as traffic circles, come with their own rules regarding yielding and lane use. Fortunately, as the first roundabout in the City of Batesville, the new design is a simple single lane.
Rules to Remember:
- Always yield to traffic inside of the roundabout
- All traffic moves Counter-clockwise and One-way
- Do not stop once you have entered the circle
- Use your signal lights
- Always yield to pedestrian traffic in crosswalks near a roundabout
