Our Deepest Thanks: Harris Farm & Home

In 2022, a Jonesboro Police officer tragically lost their life during a training incident.  In the wake of that tragedy, the state mandated strict new safety protocols for training exercises to ensure such an incident never happens again.  Among the new mandates is the requirement to have a rapid-cooling water tub on site, allowing officers to be quickly submerged and cooled down if they overheat during intense training drills.

We are incredibly grateful to announce that the Harris family and Harris Farm & Home have stepped up to support our team by donating a high-quality 150 gallon polycarbonate tub that perfectly fulfills this safety requirement.

Their donation is more than just equipment; it is a vital safeguard for the health and well-being of the officers who work tirelessly to protect our community.  The Batesville Police Department extends its deepest gratitude for their proactive community spirit, generosity and commitment to keeping our officers safe.
